Developer Ratata Arts and publisher Game Source Entertainment have revealed that a brand new update for Patapon spiritual successor Ratatan is due to arrive on Christmas Day, bringing a new chapter and more with it.
Per a press release, the Descent of the Dark Ratatan! update arrives on December 25th, marking "the next stage of Ratatan’s development in Steam Early Access". It'll bring Chapter Two along with it, which you can unlock by clearing World 5 in the main game.
Not only that, but new Dark Ratatan bosses will give you the chance to "command Dark Cobuns against high-level bosses with unique mechanics", so if you're in the mood for something a little more complex and challenging, this one's for you.
The new Ratatan update will also bring a brand new gacha system with it, but don't worry; it only takes "unwanted weapons, accessories, and items", which you can feed into the machine to get new prizes and "limited items".
New multiplayer features, like the ability to join random rooms and refresh room lists, will also be introduced, and Ratatan's multiplayer lobby has been optimized for "faster and more stable random matchmaking" as well.
