The subreddit might have collapsed into unbridled chaos, even holding summoning rituals to commune with Gabe Newell, but the idea that Half-Life 3 no longer exists, or never did to begin with, was always baseless.
Much like Half-Life: Alyx, there's a mountain of datamines that confirm not only that HLX is real, but even what stage of development it's in.
