Developer and publisher Funcom has revealed new information about desert survival game Dune: Awakening's upcoming Chapter 3, as well as a new paid DLC pack that's arriving at the same time.
We still don't have a release date for Chapter 3, unfortunately, but when it does arrive, the new chapter will bring more progression avenues for those who have reached Tier 6, with the aim being to provide a "richer experience" for players who have made it to endgame.
To that end, the game's Landsraad system has been completely reworked, and Funcom is intending to introduce new ways to earn rewards both for solo and group players, as well as a new Specialization system and expanded faction ranks.
New overland locations and "repeatable Testing Stations with escalating difficulty" will also be introduced in Chapter 3, alongside a fresh chunk of story that picks up where Dune: Awakening's second chapter left off and adds "hours more story-driven survival gameplay".
