In case you couldn't tell by the weather outside, we are in the thick of winter and the Christmas holiday is rapidly approaching. It's the perfect time to game, and there's nothing video game developers love more than to create endless amounts of Christmas-themed skins that they can sell to you.
Case in point: Marvel Rivals, with its "Gone Nutty For Gifts" event that is currently ongoing and features a number of Christmas-related emotes, costumes and festive cheer, including a rather awesome "Sled" emote for Squirrel Girl.
Unfortunately, as one Marvel Rivals player found out, the "Sled" emote does not work in Quick Play or Competitive. Instead, it can only be used in Times Square, the training ground or "certain entertainment modes," per an email they received from the MR Support Team.
Basically, anywhere fun that you'd like to use the skin, you can't. What's worse is it's a paid-for thing, and there apparently isn't any warning in the store letting players know that it's a really useless amount of pixels.
