With just 12 days left before the calendar flips from 2025 to 2026, all the sales data from the last year is beginning to come out, highlighting the best-and-worst-selling games of the calendar year. That's beyond all the end-of-year sales that are coming to every digital storefront and the mass number of "X Wrapped" updates, except for Xbox.

There's reportedly some ongoing budget constraints that will prevent Xbox from having a "Year in Review" update. But expect big things in 2026.

First up, the games that sold only one copy in 2025, as tracked by Circana, and first previewed by Polygon, who note "Circana only tracks retail sales, so the list below doesn't include pre-owned games bought on sites like eBay."

It's a massive list, and you should certainly check out Polygon's full reveal, but the one thing that immediately stood out is, somehow, three copies of Game Boy Advance games sold, and two of them are Pokemon games!

Specifically, Pokemon FireRed (with wireless adapter) and Pokemon Ruby were sold in the big 2025. For reference, FireRed and LeafGreen were first released in 2004, and Ruby and Sapphire released in 2002!
