SpongeBob Is Officially In Fortnite, And He Brought The Iconic Jellyfish Dance With Him

Just when you thought Fortnite ran out of IP collaborations, the part live-service battle royale, part Metaverse, turns around and reveals that SpongeBob SquarePants is coming to Epic Games' never-ending world of mischief and mayhem.

Surprisingly, this isn't SpongeBob's first video game in 2025. In fact, everyone's favorite fry cook has already appeared in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, in Roblox via a Tower Defense game, and his area of residence (Bikini Bottom) was in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Remake.

If that wasn't enough, Bob has his own solo adventure, Titans of the Tide, that you can also check out. Which is to say, there is a lot of Sponge to go around.

Over in the Fortnite item shop, there are a number of SpongeBob-themed things available, including SpongeBob himself, though only as a Sidekick, meaning you won't be able to blast everyone away and giggle afterward.

There's SpongeBob himself, a DoodleBob back bling, Kicks with Gary on them, a Golden Spatula Pickaxe, and even more importantly, the iconic Jellyfish Jam dance is available, too.
