Divinity's Game Awards Trailer Was "Really Creepy And Delicious", Says Original Sin 2 Star

Larian Studios understood the assignment at The Game Awards. Its hyper-graphic, super-freaky trailer for the next Divinity game got audiences talking, comfortably racked up the most views of any trailer from the event, and had its creators promising that the game "isn't trying to shock" people. It felt like the perfect introduction to a game.

What followed was a bit of a s**tstorm, with Larian's admission that it uses generative AI upsetting audiences, and further reports surfacing about lengthy unpaid writing tests for potential employees, forcing the company to host an AMA in the new year.

While many of the concerns will hopefully be answered in the upcoming Q&A, and therefore swiftly forgotten, one thing that will live on is the trailer. Recently, we sat down with one of Divinity: Original Sin 2's stars and asked them for their take on the teaser, and they couldn't have been more excited, calling it "Really creepy and delicious".
