Zenless Zone Zero developer and publisher HoYoverse has announced that Version 2.5 of its gacha action RPG will be launching later this month, bringing two new characters and more.
As you might expect, Version 2.5, which arrives on December 30th, will follow on from November's Version 2.4. HoYoverse is calling this latest update "the culminating chapter of Season 2", so you can expect this season's storyline to come to an explosive head. Thanks to the Advance Screening feature, you can do so straightaway when the update lands, too.
The storyline will see what HoYoverse calls "Waifei Peninsula's escalating crisis" coming to its climax, and it'll task you with venturing into the Lumite Mine ruins in order to "uncover the truths hidden within the [Lemnian] Hollow's depths".
As ever, you're also getting new characters in this update, starting with S-Rank Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, who can enter the Enlightened Mind state in order to deal damage to enemies and inflict them with a vulnerability effect. She comes complete with her sidekick Bangboo Sprout, who is, as you might imagine, a feisty lil' Bangboo.
