The Division 3 Lead Confirms It's Still in Development And It'll Have The Same Impact As The First Game

It's been a while since we've got any concrete news about The Division series. The second game is chugging along with a small but dedicated community, even getting some big content drops along the way, and The Division: Heartlands got cancelled in 2024. However, I wouldn't blame you if you forgot that The Division 3 is in development.

Announced in a rather subtle manner, Ubisoft announced the third game in the series buried within a news post in 2023, about The Division Brand’s new Executive Producer, Julian Gerighty. It seems the game is still in development, and Gerighty has even said that it will have the same impact that the first game did.

Speaking at the New Game+ Showcase (via MP1st), Gerighty said that development on The Division 3 is ongoing, and that the devs are working "extremely hard" on it. Unfortunately, he didn't reveal any details about the gameplay or when we'd get a proper reveal or release date for the looter shooter.
