As Code Violet Gets Slammed With Negative Reviews, Dev Says It Doesn't Make Games For Critics

As Code Violet, a recently-released PlayStation exclusive, continues to receive negative reviews and reception by critics, its developer, TeamKill Media, has hit back against the outlets critiquing its latest title, sharing in a social media post, in part, that it doesn't make games for critics.

"We make games for our fans and players who actually spend their hard-earned money on our games and support us, not critics," a statement read.

The statement further noted that fans made the game "number one" and were having fun with "dated" and "old school" gameplay.

By number one, it appears TeamKill Media is referring to the new releases "Best Sellers" list, for which Code Violet is in the No. 1 spot, ahead of a few noteworthy titles, like Terminator 2D: No Fate and Pathlogic 3.

Right now, the game currently has a 40 on Metacritic from six reviews, which isn't a ton, to be fair. Still, the six outlets that did review the game were less than impressed.
