After about eight months since the LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International announced their partnership in March 2025 to produce Pokémon-themed LEGO sets, the two companies have finally revealed the first wave of Pokémon LEGO sets coming soon in late February.
Specifically, these first few LEGO sets will launch on Friday, February 27th, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, which launched the same day in Japan in 1996 on the Nintendo Game Boy.
This isn't the first time Pokémon has been adapted into toy brick form before, as in 2004, Pokémon was adapted into Mega Bloks with the Build 'n Battle toy line, while in 2017 Pokémon was adapted into several Mega Construx sets.
Now Pokémon will finally join Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and more as one of the many Nintendo franchises to be adapted into LEGO for fans across the globe.
