The New Albion Game From Peter Molyneux's Studio Is (Probably) Going To Launch Before Fable

If you had told me back in 2020 that the new Fable game that was just announced would be beaten to market by a Fable-like Peter Molyneux game, I would have thought you were crazy. Or, well, maybe not, but I would have had a big cry about how long game development cycles have become.

Now, it looks like this will indeed happen. Masters of Albion, the next game from 22cans, is set to launch on April 22. Meanwhile, we're still waiting on a Fable release date, and it isn't likely that it will be with us before then.

This release date was revealed alongside a new trailer, giving us another look at the gameplay in this God Game. It takes Peter Molyneux back to his roots, working within the same genre as the cult classic Black & White. However, for the Fable fans, you're also able to jump in and control NPCs, including heroes who defend your town from enemies.

As the name suggests, this game also takes us back to Albion. Molyneux has stated that this is not a Fable game (for obvious legal issues, I imagine), but this is apparently the same Albion as the Fable...
