Over the past few weeks, Marvel Rivals fans have been trying to figure out exactly where Deadpool is going to fit into the roster. He was revealed as a Duelist, which made a lot of sense, but NetEase then confused everyone by shifting his locked portrait over to the Vanguard section. Finally, fans figured out that they were being messed with when his portrait was put into the Support position. It was a pretty fun bit, and keeping in touch with the character, but it did leave Deadpool's role up for debate.
There's a DPS epidemic in Marvel Rivals right now, with over half the roster dominated by the role, so there were hopes that NetEase would make Deadpool anything else.
