Over the holidays, hackers breached Rainbow Six Siege X and gifted billions of credits to the community, taking over the in-game feed to spam insults at Ubisoft while banning players for '67' days, referencing the viral meme.

In response, Ubisoft shut down the marketplace and began rolling back accounts, leading to widespread outage and maintenance. As such, the team is now compensating anyone who logs in between January 16 and 25 as a thank you for being patient while they work to undo the damage.

As for when you can expect the marketplace to re-open, Ubisoft explained that it "remains offline for security reasons and will only return later in Year 11", with more in-depth information to follow in the coming weeks.

"Progress on the account rollbacks is going well," the statement reads. "Our teams are still working to resolve accounts with inaccurate currency values or inventories. We'll provide another update once the process is complete."

There's no timeline for when voice chat will return, though Ubisoft said that it's "very much a priority for our team".
