The Rage Virus is back with 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, directed by the talented Nia DaCosta, and to celebrate, Sony and Epic Games have teamed up with a brand-new Fortnite collab.
There's plenty to pull from, like main staples Dr Ian Kelson, Spike, and Cillian Murphy's returning character, Jim - maybe even the hulking brute of a zombie Samson, but no. The much-anticipated crossover is a Plague Inc-looking backbling and a skull-on-a-spine pickaxe that feels more Predator than 28 Years Later. As plenty of the comments put it, 'That's it?'
Others are comparing it to The Bat Outta Hell from Team Fortress 2.
Granted, it would be an awful idea to feature Sir Jimmy Crystal and his Jimmy Saville x Power Rangers gang in a game played mostly by kids (for yanks, Jimmy Saville was a notorious British pedophile - please don't cosplay Jack O'Connell's character), but 28 Years Later has plenty of brilliant characters they could've used.
It's a bit disappointing, and frankly, from just looking at it, I wouldn't know it was a 28 Years Later crossover. Some have even begun pairing the pickaxe with Thanos to recreate the iconic...
