If Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade's pending Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S ports were partly looking keen to you based on the introduction of "Streamlined Progression" mode, then consider this a heads-up. Should you happen to already own the game on PlayStation 5 or PC, a patch is en route that'll provide feature parity.
Folks who have replayed (or played for the first time) Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9 in their modern forms will be familiar with the in-game cheats that allow you to sweep through the stories with zero friction whatsoever. Remake is getting its own variation on this, doubtless in a bid to ensure as many people as possible have played Rebirth before the trilogy's final title comes into sharper focus. It's a welcome boon, and something that can easily be ignored if you, like myself, would willingly traipse across Midgar the "real" way half a dozen times.
