Marvel Rivals Players Are Furious Over "Deceitful" Attempts To Make Bot Matches More Realistic

Marvel Rivals will throw you in bot matches while you're in Quickplay. It's never been acknowledged by NetEase, but it's never been denied either, but when you get put up against six random AI enemies after losing a couple of matches, you can tell almost instantly, usually because they struggle to get out of the spawn room most of the time.

There were a few ways to tell whether you'd been thrown into a bot match against your will, one of the most obvious being the lack of skins. If you were up against an entire team of players wearing a character's default design, chances were high you were in a bot match. You can also tell by the enemy team's comp (as they'll always go 2-2-2), their low level and blank nameplates, and the AI on your team will hover over characters rather than lock them in immediately.

Over the year since the game released, NetEase has pretty much ignored calls to take bot matches out of Quickplay, instead attempting to try and make them blend in and make them less noticeable. It's a sore spot for a lot of players, and NetEase has now once again...
