It Sure Seems Like Hytale Will Be Getting Raids Soon

Hytale's efforts to become the next big sandbox game are well underway. Despite its tumultuous development cycle, which started as a multiplayer Minecraft server, lasted over ten years, saw its studio purchased by Riot Games, and the game shut down, then re-purchased by its original creator, things are off to a great start.

It was played by around 2.8 million players on its early-access launch day, with thousands more picking it up in the days that followed. Its developers, Hypixel Studios, have also been promising update after update for the game.

In a new post on Twitter, one of Hytale's co-creators, Simon Collins-Laflamme, has seemingly hinted that one of these new updates will feature a raid-like system, which will see mobs attack your buildings.

On Twitter, user RandomTiger2 shared their creation of a watchtower in Hytale. They tagged the game's socially-active creator, Collins-Laflamme, saying that they "wish there was something that would come and attack me so I could actually use it [the watchtower]." Collins-Laflamme responded simply, saying, "In a few updates."
