Marvel Rivals is finally doing something about some of the most frustrating players you can come across. Starting from now, standing still and doing nothing to farm proficiency will be a banable offence, meaning that players will have to actually contribute to a match if they want their accounts to be safe.
Prior to this, players complained about others blatantly abusing the system to reach Lord proficiency as fast as possible. This was done by joining a match and just spamming abilities, sometimes without even moving their character. Now, using an ability will seemingly not be enough to stop you from getting kicked for inactivity, as the Marvel Rivals devs want to make sure everyone is pulling their weight.
"Recently, we’ve noticed that some players are exploiting matches by remaining stationary and repeatedly farming stats to gain hero proficiency points," reads a message put out by NetEase. "This behavior disrupts normal gameplay and seriously affects the match experience of other players."
