Just As People Were Starting To Ask Questions, Borderlands 4's Switch 2 Release Date Has Leaked

Borderlands 4 was supposed to be released on Nintendo Switch 2 less than a month after it arrived on every other platform last year. That didn't happen as the port was indefinitely delayed and pre-orders were canceled. There's been no official update on the Switch 2 version of the game since, that was until a retail listing that went up today, which may have given the game away.

Again, this isn't anything official from Gearbox, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but a store listing on Portuguese site GamingReplay has the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 releasing on February 27, 2026. That's relatively soon in the grand scheme of things, with only a little more than a month to go. Then again, after the port was delayed with less than two weeks until it was meant to launch, you'd hope it wouldn't need too much polish to be ready for its delayed release.
