Earlier today, Ubisoft broke the hearts of Prince of Persia fans across the world by canceling the long-awaited Sands of Time remake, and then kicked Assassin's Creed fans in the groin by potentially delaying the Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake as well. It's a massive time of restructuring for Ubisoft at the moment, and a lot of Prince of Persia fans are worried that the series is getting lost in the shuffle.
Of course, that's not the official story from Ubisoft, as in an official statement announcing the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake's cancellation, it assured fans that it "does not mean we're stepping away from the franchise." That makes it sound like Ubisoft has plans to support the series, but it seems as though fans aren't quite convinced.
Judging from the reactions to the cancellation, it seems as though the vast majority of fans either want the Prince of Persia license to be sold by Ubisoft, or that the series is just straight up dead now.
