If you were one of the people who tried to rally PS5 owners to skip Ghost of Yotei for various reasons, the most damning evidence yet that you failed has reared its head. A list of the best-selling games on PS5 for 2025 in the US has been published, and despite stiff competition from live service games and annual sports titles, Ghost of Yotei finished in third.
According to Circana data shared by Mat Piscatella, only two games outsold the Sucker Punch sequel on PS5 last year - Battlefield 6 and NBA 2K26. Both games with live service elements that are designed to be played over extended periods, versus Ghost of Yotei, an exclusively single-player, story-driven experience. The only game that fits that description to crack the PS5's top ten for 2025.
