It came as a surprise to many when Hans Eli Sebastian "Forsen" Fors announced he would be trying his hand at semi-professional League of Legends in this year's Northern League of Legends Championships (NLC).

The NLC is a European Regional League for the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland. It's considered the second tier of European LoL, though the NLC is one of the weakest regions at this level.

We've seen plenty of popular streamers compete in tier two League of Legends, and many of them have achieved great success. After all, the streamer-led Los Ratones is currently competing in the tier one League of Legends EMEA Championships (LEC) following a fantastic year in tier-two.

However, the streamers that succeed in tier two are already high-level players, albeit usually in a solo queue environment. Fors is... not quite as accomplished.
