The Witcher 3 Now Has A Full-Fledged Multiplayer Mode Thanks To A Fan

The Witcher 3 has sold over 60 million copies and counting. An immense achievement for any video game; let alone one that happens to be a purely single-player CRPG sequel to two prior chapters.

Nearly 11 years have passed since its initial launch, and many have dreamed of tossing multiplayer into the mix. Few among us have the skill to make it happen. The modder Rejuvenate is one such miracle worker, and the results rather speak for themselves.

"The focus of this mod is to allow you to see other players on their adventure exploring throughout the world," Rejuvenate explains on the mod's homepage. By joining the mod-supplied servers, you can join friends' worlds for anything from main quest escapades to tavern-side tomfoolery. It doesn't fundamentally transform the realms which Geralt traverses, but it certainly presents a gameplay-related paradigm shift.

If you link "Witcher Online" with "Custom Player Characters," handcrafted by fellow modder nikich340, then you can sidestep the (amusing) oddity that is multiple wandering Geralts.
