In the wake of last week's Xbox Developer Direct, where the likes of Fable and Forza Horizon 6 were all showcased, Craig Duncan, who serves as the head of Xbox Game Studios, has been making the media rounds, providing some insight into Microsoft's Xbox division.
This time, Duncan has shed some light on State of Decay 3, which fans haven't seen much of since its initial reveal back in 2020. Unfortunately, if you were expecting a release date, or at the very least a release window, then you're fresh out of luck.
In a separate interview, Duncan did admit that Microsoft's strategy of releasing its Xbox first-party titles on PlayStation has been "inconsistent." That should change in the future.
That said, the game's development is seemingly going along swimmingly.
"I think the [PR] in this room will murder me if I give you the answer to that," Duncan said when asked by GamesRadar if there was a timeline for when State of Decay 3 will be re-revealed.
