Bethesda might've dropped the first Elder Scrolls 6 teaser nearly a decade ago, but we still have no idea where the game is set. It's got mountains and more trees than Skyrim, which really isn't much to go off. Hammerfell and High Rock are popular theories, with some fans even claiming that a scribble in Starfield resembles Iliac Bay, but that's just it - they're theories.

However, former loremaster and designer Kurt Kuhlmann teased that the next setting after Skyrim was an obvious choice, which might help narrow things down.

"From when we were talking about it back in the Fallout 4 timeframe, there was a sort of consensus amongst a few people that were talking about it," Kuhlmann said in an interview with PC Gamer. "We had an idea, but it was more of a consensus. Like, 'OK, where should the next game be?' And the people that were talking all agreed. It was not an argument, it was like, 'Well, obviously it should be here'. We were more in the feel of it, in the setting; there was no story involved yet."
