Much to the chagrin of gamers everywhere, and to the delight of Nintendo, the company rarely puts its first-party games on sale. Nintendo has long maintained its MSRPs for years, but that changed with a recent program.

The thing is, that program is going away, as per Nintendo. Make sure to take advantage of it while you can.

Game vouchers are a pretty simple concept. You pay $99.99 to receive two vouchers (licenses) that can be redeemed for digital Switch 1 games. Typically, games in the voucher program cap at $59.99, giving you roughly $20 in savings if you choose the voucher route.

The catalog skews toward first-party titles and includes recent releases such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but some third-party games published by Nintendo are also part of the service. The only requirement is that you must be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber to participate.

Soon, no one will be able to participate. As of today, Nintendo is discontinuing the program. To be clear, you have until 11:59PM PT tonight to buy those vouchers, or you're out of luck forever.
