Dataminers have discovered an unused texture in Red Dead Redemption 2 that suggests Rockstar was planning on hiding a reference to Grand Theft Auto 6.

As anyone who has been following the mystery of the spider-web and telegraph poles knows, Red Dead Redemption 2 still has plenty of secrets up its sleeve. Rockstar's wild west magnum opus has been feeding us with constant discoveries and easter eggs in the nearly eight years since it first launched, and it looks like that's not slowing down.

While the spider web mystery is one that's still remaining in the game and was meant to be discovered, dataminers have recently uncovered another interesting detail that's gone unnoticed all this time. And, surprise, surprise, it appears to be a reference to GTA 6 that was eventually cut from the game for some reason.

Over on Twitter, GameRoll_ shared an interesting discovery that was made by SonekaSpeedruns, who found a partially unused boat texture in Red Dead Redemption 2. The texture shows a list of names that would have been put on ships, including one that will instantly catch the eye of anyone waiting on GTA 6 - The Leonida.
