Baldur's Gate 3 Players Share Their Biggest Gripe With Resisting The Dark Urge

Dark Urge gives you a unique way to replay Baldur's Gate 3 after you're done with a regular playthrough with Tav, and maybe a few more to fix your mistakes. In fact, many fans even think Durge is the canon protagonist of the game, due to how convoluted their storyline is. But, it seems that players have one issue with Durge's arc.

Throughout your adventure, Durge is haunted by a… dark urge for murder. In fact, at some points in the story, they even lose control and commit atrocities. However, for someone who is haunted by such thoughts at all times, it's pretty easy to ignore by choosing the 'good guy' options. It should probably be a bit more difficult to resist the urge.

As pointed out by FriendlyHoovie's Reddit post, the resist Dark Urge path could have been made a bit more interesting with a few skill checks in place to actually resist the urge to murder. Currently, there are only a few places in the game where it takes over or you need to pass a skill check. The rest are just in the form of regular dialogue options.
