Why There's No Sign Of Metroid Prime 4's Sales Numbers In Nintendo's Latest Financial Report

Nintendo has published its latest financial report, covering the final three months of 2025. As always, those figures include updated totals revealing how much some of its biggest games have sold across the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Kirby Air Riders is in there for the first time, having launched during the quarter being covered by the report, but Metroid Prime 4, which released just two weeks later, isn't mentioned.

Mario Kart World has sped past 14 million sold - largely thanks to the bundle that packs it in with the Switch 2 - Donkey Kong Bananza has sold 4.25 million copies, and despite not releasing until over halfway through the quarter, Air Riders has already sold 1.76 million copies. That's 400,000 more than the original Kirby Air Ride sold in total, so pretty impressive.

Metroid Prime 4's sales are nowhere to be found, which, understandably, has led some Samus fans to start panicking. The latest game in the Prime series was the first of the four to not be well-received critically. Now, at first glance, it seems like those unexpectedly downbeat reviews have translated to disappointing launch sales.
