Somebody Is Turning Red Dead Redemption 2 Into A Full, Creature-Catching Pokemon RPG

Pokemon is comfortably the highest-grossing franchise of all time. Between the trading card game, merchandise, anime, and video games, it's earned over $115 billion in revenue. It's no wonder everybody wants a piece of that pie.

In the 30 years since the franchise launched, it's resonated wildly with fans, and we've seen numerous attempts to bring the world of Pokemon into other video games. Palworld and its impending lawsuit aside, we've seen fans bring Pokemon to Minecraft, Baldur's Gate 3, and most recently, Hytale.

One fan, though, is in the process of taking things to the next level, as they embark on a quest to turn Red Dead Redemption 2 into a full-fledged, creature-catching, Pokemon RPG.

Red Dead Redemption 2 features almost 200 animal species. There are alligators and armadillos, beavers and bison, and turtles and turkeys. They range from harmless to harmful, and play a large role in some of the game's side adventures, but one player has posed the question: What if they were Pokemon?
