We all know that video game developers often love tucking little secrets away in hard-to-reach places, which gives their games a fun sense of discovery and whimsy. They can be as minor as photos of the development team, or as big as full-blown systems that usually require hours upon hours to unlock, as was the case with Nier Automata's infamous Chapter Select screen.
On rare occasions, a developer will hide a secret so well that it can take literal years to discover, a prime example being the recent Red Dead Redemption 2 mystery that swept the fanbase at the start of the year. Then you have secrets that are so obscure that they haven't been found yet, as is the case with Stardew Valley's cryptic secret message that creator Eric Barone recently mentioned in an interview with IGN talking about the game's upcoming 10th anniversary.
