This was announced during the Overwatch 2026 Spotlight with Game Director Aaron Keller stating, "This team is focused on continually delivering these great experiences for years to come. On top of this rebrand, Blizzard devs revealed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the new Overwatch will launch in the near future, though an exact release date hasn't been confirmed yet.
To keep fans entertained in the meantime, Blizzard has kicked off a brand-new season 1 for players called Conquest, which will be only part one of ongoing seasonal story content called Reign of Talon, complete with new in-game events, animated trailers, cosmetics, maps and heroes that will start being available on Tuesday, February 10th.
