Yesterday, Blizzard announced that it was dropping the '2' from Overwatch 2 after what I presume was a board meeting with an exec channeling their inner Justin Timberlake: it's cleaner. As part of this refresh, it also announced five new heroes that will arrive on February 10 all at once, marking the biggest single-season release in the game's history.
However, one of those new heroes is already catching flak for how much their design has changed from the cinematic version — Anran.
Many have likened her to Juno and Kiriko, with her shrunken jawline, thinner nose, and bigger eyes losing a lot of what made her unique from the rest of the roster in the original artwork. As u/Kontio68 put it, the model "Looks like a Kiriko skin."
