New Xbox CEO Has No Immediate Plans To Change Multi-Platform Strategy

In case you weren't keeping tabs on gaming news the past week, you might not know that Xbox division boss Phil Spencer has retired, and will be replaced by new Xbox CEO and former CoreAI boss Asha Sharma.

For Xbox fans hoping this will be a new era where we'll see Xbox games appear exclusively on Microsoft's platform, that doesn't seem to be part of the plans -- at least initially.

This is something Sharma confirmed recently, though it was nothing definite that couldn't change in the future.

Xbox Console Exclusivity Not Set In Stone Per New CEO

While it's a given now that every Xbox-published game is fair game to appear on competing platforms (ie, the PS5), that's something that could potentially change under Xbox's new stewardship.

Sharma was recently asked about this in a recent interview, and her answer was straight-to-the-point, though it did leave a lot of wiggle room to change in the future.

Speaking to Windows Central, Sharma mentioned that nothing was off the table when it came to revising Xbox's strategy, but finalizing that strategy will take time and a lot of data crunching.
