Insomniac Games has made a surprise release date announcement for Marvel’s Wolverine, but what’s less surprising is when it’s launching, as the most famous member of the X-Men is dodging Grand Theft Auto 6.
Marvel’s Wolverine is an upcoming action-adventure title by Insomniac Games, the team behind the excellent Marvel’s Spider-Man series. In Marvel’s Wolverine, the mutant killing machine is going to be traveling the world and carving up iconic X-Men enemies with his Adamantium claws, including Omega Red and the dreaded Sentinels.
Fans were disappointed when Marvel’s Wolverine skipped the recent Sony State of Play, with many assuming it was either delayed or saved for the summer showcases. In a strange move, Insomniac Games has announced on Twitter/X that Marvel’s Wolverine is coming to PS5 on September 15, 2026.
