Limited Run Games is not without its share of issues. I don't think I'm breaking new ground in saying that. But damn, if that company doesn't partner with publishers to deliver re-releases of some of the greatest games from bygone eras of this storied industry.
The latest instance? Marvel: Maximum Collection. Just announced today, it's bringing a whopping 13 Marvel titles from decades in the past to modern hardware, including a couple of games that really mean a lot to me. In fact, I didn't grow up with superhero fare, and some of these games were essentially my sole contact point with the entire genre. So... even I'm feeling teary-eyed.
So, what've we got in store for us? Let's see. Jamming music, obviously. Worth the pricetag, if you ask me. X-Men: The Arcade Game, Captain America and The Avengers, Spider-Man and The X-Men: Arcade's Revenge, Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage, Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety, Silver Surfer, and more. There's an in-game museum to dive down memory lane, too, because why not?
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (not Switch 2? D:) and Steam are all joining in the action. Of course, you'll note that...
