Stardew Valley's 10th anniversary is this year, and creator Eric Barone is celebrating in a big way. Update 1.7 will bring a bunch of new additions and changes to the game we love, but arguably the biggest addition will be two new marriage candidates, a side of the game that a lot of Stardew Valley fans have come to be slightly obsessed with.
Barone himself made a pretty big deal out of it too, saving the announcement for the end of his big anniversary video, in which he looked back at the game's development, showed off some of the game's early builds, and provided a lot of goofy developer commentary. However, it was the marriage candidates that everyone was waiting for.
Chat was exploding, as it usually does, listing out all the candidates they were hoping for, but right towards the end of the video, Barone opened up the envelope to reveal that Clint and Sandy can be married starting in Update 1.7.
