Pokemon Winds and Waves Officially Revealed for 2027 | TechRaptor

Pokemon Winds and Waves have officially been revealed by Nintendo and Game Freak, and they're landing simultaneously worldwide on Switch 2 next year (no Switch 1 release, it seems).

The games were unveiled at the very conclusion of today's Pokemon Presents showcase, and while there wasn't a tremendous amount of note elsewhere in the show, we got to see a lot more of the tenth Pokemon generation than I was expecting.

The reveal trailer kicks off with two new cosplay Pikachus wearing adorable costumes before expanding outwards to show us Pokemon's new open world, which, in accordance with the major leaks back in October, looks to take place across a series of islands.

Over the course of the introductory trailer, we got to see not only a look at the world of Pokemon Winds and Waves, but also at some of the Pokemon that will appear in it, including Wailord, Tangela, and Sandygast, to name but a few.

We also got to see the new starter lineup, and Nintendo and Game Freak are sticking with the Fire-Grass-Water trio, as you'd probably expect.
