Overwatch is back, with a reinvigorated playerbase thanks to new story content and five new heroes. However, one of those heroes is getting a lot more attention than the others, and not necessarily good attention.
I am, of course, talking about Jetpack Cat. The flying menace is the new character everyone loves to hate, with abilities designed to rile everyone up. Indeed, a Jetpack Cat in the right hands can change the course of a match in ways we've never seen before, and it turns out that many just don't want to take the risk.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Overwatch director Alec Dawson revealed that Jetpack Cat is currently the most banned hero in competitive. This will not surprise anyone who has been playing competitive this season, as it seems like the cat is an instant ban for everyone. Hell, I queue with a Jetpack Cat main who has to beg our own teammates not to ban her, and it rarely works.
Dawson does have a plan to get Jetpack Cat into more competitive games. Alas, it is bad news for her mains, because it means she will be getting nerfed.
