Resident Evil Requiem Hasn't Been Out For 24 Hours, And At Least 22 People Have The Platinum

Arguably the first major release of 2026 is officially out in the form of Resident Evil Requiem, and most of the world has stopped to savor the latest Resident Evil title from Capcom. So much so that the title quickly moved into the Top 10 Steam numbers for a single-player-only game, with an astounding 344,214 players on PC in the last 24 hours, per SteamDB.

Keyword: Most.

That's because, as of this writing, at least 22 people, per PSNProfiles, have unlocked Requiem's Platinum trophy, managing to beat the game on multiple difficulties and unlock every collectible, among several other requirements.

Dozens of other players are dangerously close, with some needing just one or two more Trophies before the shiny Platinum ping sounds off on their PlayStation 5 consoles.

Requiem is the closest Capcom has ever come to capturing the voyeurism and paranoia of the original Resident Evil games.

It's important to note that these figures only take into account those registered on PSNProfiles, as unregistered PlayStation user profiles only update on a weekly basis. Still, there's no doubt that dozens of others are also in that same boat.
