Last month, it was reported that the Watch Dogs series had been put on ice, to which reputable leaker Shinobi602 responded, "Not exactly." There was plenty of speculation over what he meant, but the answer might not be all that exciting.
According to Insider Gaming editor-in-chief Tom Henderson, plans are in motion for a Watch Dogs Legion director's cut, described as a sort of "remaster."
"I've now found out that there is some work being done on the Watch Dogs franchise and that is related to Watch Dogs Legion. Almost like a director's cut, I guess, in a way," Henderson explained on the Insider Gaming podcast. "I don't know why they're doing it. There's going to be some new content in it. I've heard they might do a fully night mode version of the game or something like that. This is what I've heard — don't shoot the messenger."
