The PS5 Pro has sold out on the official PlayStation Store, and it's almost definitely because of all the rave reviews Resident Evil Requiem has been getting on the console.

Ever since the PS5 Pro was first announced, PlayStation has really struggled to justify its incredibly expensive existence. Sure, you can play some older games with both 60fps and ray-tracing in 4K, but the improvements really aren't that noticeable enough to be worth paying nearly twice the cost of a base PS5.

I can say all of this since I'm one of the people who bought a PS5 Pro at launch without a second thought.

In the year and a bit since the PS5 Pro released, there have only been a handful of games (such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Spider-Man 2) that feel like they tangibly benefit from the Pro. That short list got a noticeable new entry this week, thanks to the release of Resident Evil Requiem, which is apparently the best way to play the game on consoles.
