A Dragon Ball insider has claimed that Xenoverse 3 has taken so long because the team needed to make it a current-gen exclusive in order to overhaul its art style.

When Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000 was announced a few weeks ago, pretty much everyone besides those hoping for a Dragon Ball MMO agreed that the mysterious project was just a codename for Xenoverse 3. That assumption was seemingly confirmed earlier this week when Bandai Namco accidentally put Age 1000's trailer in a playlist marked Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Now that the cat is (mostly) out of the bag, we're all just waiting for Age 1000's proper reveal so Bandai can stop pretending that Age 1000 is something other than the long-awaited third Xenoverse. Before that happens in April, though, an insider has reported some details about the game and why exactly it's taken so long.
