Escape From Tarkov Makes Big Improvements to Matchmaking

Escape From Tarkov developer Battlestate Games has confirmed it has quietly made some big improvements to the matchmaking experience in the popular extraction shooter. These changes should ensure that Escape From Tarkov players find matches much quicker than before, with studio head Nikita Buyanov confirming that there are even more improvements to come.

After many years in early access, Escape From Tarkov finally reached 1.0 last year. The full release did not go perfectly to plan, and the game was review-bombed after significant server issues at launch. However, the extraction shooter quickly emerged from those problems, and developer Battlestate Games has now turned its attention to improving the existing experience and adding even more content to the game. Earlier this year, Escape From Tarkov received its first collaboration, crossing over with Escape From Duckov, a sign that there's plenty more to come from the extraction shooter.
