More Xbox Players Were Reportedly Playing TCG Card Shop Sim Than Resident Evil Requiem Or Marathon

Last week was a rather jam-packed week for video games, what with the release of Resident Evil Requiem, plus Marathon's scheduled Server Slam, as well as the re-release of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, along with the usual flood of smaller, less noteworthy titles.

Yet, as far as things on Xbox are concerned, neither Requiem nor Marathon were the most-played games over the weekend. Rather, TCG Card Shop Simulator, a one-person developed indie title that is still in Early Access, outpaced both heavy hitters, according to new data shared by TrueAchievements.

Via information "compiled using gameplay data from over 3.1 million active Xbox accounts," TCG Card Shop Simulator had 12.7 percent more Xbox players than Marathon's Server Slam event. The title also had an astounding 23.7 percent more players than Requiem did.

Overall, TCG Card Shop Simulator attracted just 6.9 percent fewer Xbox players than High on Life 2, which, per TrueAchievements, currently stands as the biggest Game Pass release so far this year.
