Rockstar Games and PlayStation have seemingly killed the PS Store IDs for Grand Theft Auto 6, just days after they were revealed and hackers used them to pretend they were playing the game.
The past few months may have been incredibly quiet for GTA 6 news outside of Take-Two confirming the November release date for the millionth time, but things did get a bit more exciting over the weekend. Reliable data analyst PlayStationSize discovered that GTA 6's title IDs had been added to the PlayStation Store backend, suggesting that news might be inbound.
Even though this was likely just Rockstar and PlayStation getting ahead of the summer curve, that didn't stop everyone from speculating that a big announcement was being prepped. Whether or not that is the case, Rockstar has already responded to the leak and started taking it down, ruining some hackers' fun in the process.
