Ubisoft Just Dropped Info On Several Upcoming Assassin's Creed Projects, Including Hexe And Invictus

Ubisoft came right out today and told the world about AAA gaming's currently worst-kept secret: a remake of the beloved Assassin's Creed Black Flag. But the company also provided updates on a number of other AC titles, including the upcoming Hexe and Invictus, as well as last year's Shadows.

Before we dive in, it's worth noting that neither Hexe nor Invictus will necessarily be the projects' final names. They're working titles, and while I think they both sound pretty great, don't be surprised if it ends, like, 'Assassin's Creed Witchers.' Actually, they probably can't do that. But you get my point.

Assassin's Creed has a new Head of Content, which is a fancy way of saying, an overarching director for the franchise. His name is Jean Guesdon, and he put to page a goodly number of words today about the state of the IP which he's inherited.

First up, a celebration of Assassin's Creed Shadows' March 20 first-year anniversary. Guesdon cautions that production will be winding down for its post-launch roadmap: "As we reach this milestone, Shadows will be moving into its final phase of support."
