Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Finally Confirmed by Ubisoft | TechRaptor

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that one of the gaming industry's worst-kept secrets, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, exists, surprising perhaps the three or four people in the world who hadn't already heard the project was underway.

In a blog post outlining the near future of the Assassin's Creed series, the franchise's new leadership team shares a piece of artwork from Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced alongside the message that "some whispers have a little more wind in their sails" than other "speculation".

This is the first official confirmation of a game that's been part of the industry rumor mill for quite a while now, not to mention one that was confirmed by a PEGI rating back in December. Sorry, Ubisoft; I think you're a little behind the curve on this one.

Elsewhere in the post, the team says that support for Assassin's Creed Shadows will be winding down following its next major update, a decision that chimes with Ubisoft revealing that there would be no second paid expansion for the game back in November.

Meanwhile, development on the as-yet-unannounced (sort of) Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe continues, and Ubisoft says it will be a "unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin's Creed experience"...
