Scott Pilgrim EX not only brings back Lisa Miller, a character who has been severely underused in the series outside of the fourth book, but also finally gives her the star treatment she deserves.
If you ask any Scott Pilgrim fan what the biggest issue with the franchise as a whole is, there's a good chance that they'll talk about Lisa Miller, a character who is crucially important to Scott and Ramona's relationship in Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together. Despite being so important, Lisa has never really been given the time of day outside of the fourth book.
Not only does the Scott Pilgrim movie not even include Lisa, she's also relegated to a cameo in both the original video game and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. We all hoped that Scott Pilgrim EX might right those wrongs and finally give Lisa a proper role, and I'm very happy to say that's exactly what it does and then some.
